ECD Assistant – Dar es salaam – Pact Tanzania

Job Objective: This position is critical to supporting the success of progression and improvement of quality of early childhood development interventions under” ‘Pact ECD Program. The Program Assistant is expected to ‘ have a clear understanding of the ECD and Pamoja Tuwalee objectives, approaches technical areas of Early Childhood Development, Child Protection and GBV, Economic Strengthening and “capacity building and, provide effective support to ECD” Program team members. The position requires a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and flexibility

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in ECD Program related activities (including program planning meetings, co facilitation of trainings, logistics arrangement for various activities, learning and sharing forums and assist in taking the minutes)
• Supports the development of job aids and tools for’ program implementation, ‘
• Supports the ECD team in compilation of technical reports for inclusion in the quarterly progress and annual reports
• Compilation of various data including TOCA, development Milestones, reach for each indicator
• Assist in developing , reviewing IPS ECD OD Roadmaps and CIPS
• Coordinate Zonal Team’s requirements for technical ECD backstopping in the field
• Assist in planning ECD ‘ related activities targeting Implementing
• Support the roll out of the Essential Packages training to implementing Partners
• Backstopping field activities to ensure the implementation of ECD activities is well supported based on the three objectives of ECD program and responding to the overall goal of the project
• Translation and/or editing of success stories and ECD documents for external use such as for IPG and IMTW updates and Quarterly newsletter.
• Work with Agreement team in coordinating printing and distribution of ECD, training, and working tools/materials.
Internal/External Communications
• Support the posting of ECD communication, materials on the Pact Mosaic
• Fill in at the front desk as necessary and work at the reception when need arises.
• Serve as team player, contributing to the Pact general Mission and Goals

Qualifications and experience
• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Law or related qualification
• Field experience in social work will be an-advantage

Skills and abilities
• Very strong writing/editing skills in English and Kiswahili
• Ability to work with program team members and stakeholders (including community members during field visits)
• Energetic, creative and eager to learn
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong computer (word processing, publisher, excel) skills. –
