Duties and responsibilities of Control Room Operator
• The control room operator’s duties are, but not limited to:
• On completion of his/her shift submits a verbal and written end of shift report to the duty security coordinator on all activities and incidents on his/her shift.
• Monitor all radio communication.
• Inform the supervisor on any incidents reported from security staff.
• Update the occurrence book and accurate record all incidents with all relevant information.
• Ensure the key register is correct and all keys are accounted for.
• Maintain regular radio communication with all security posts.
• Assist with handling any queries concerning visitors.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by a superior
• Report suspicious persons, vehicles activities immediately to the Security Supervisor, when the situation is perceived an emergency
• Maintain a healthy and safe place of work, ensuring all posts are in a clean and tidy condition at all times.

Relevant Skills and Experience for Security Supervisor, Trainer & Control Room Operator
• Strong experience of security supervisory skills and security operations within supply chain / consumer environment
• Excellent team-working skills and experience gained via service in the police, military or other government security agency or similar security roles
• Wide industry knowledge of corporate security (ideally with military or police background) and business risk management measure
• Industry knowledge of business risk and security management principals
• Minimum Secondary education completed at Form Four level and military/JKT training
• 2 to 4 years Security Supervisory Experience
• Excellent written communication and fluent in English &Swahili languages; IT skills desirable(working knowledge of appropriate software programs that will facilitate reporting and control aspects – This will include MS Office package)
• Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
• Strong working ethics like honesty, integrity
• No Criminal Record
