Information System Administrator Grade II – Dar es salaam – National Board of Accountants and Audits

Job Purpose;
To provide effective and efficient IT services

Duties and Responsibilities
i. To attend issues pertaining to labeling (e.g putting logos), scripting, security, disk space allocation, printing and scanning documents
ii. To assist and advice systems users in systems analysis, design, development, selection, acquisition and Installation of computer hardware and software
iii. To enforce safety measures and conduct induction job training as the case may be to safeguard computer facilities and data
iv. To maintain and ensure proper, effective and efficient utilization of the existing information systems (IS) services, resources and programmes/ packages
v. To install, configure, test and analyze test results and manage all programs, network, server and other equipment
vi. To coordinate installation, maintenance, availability and reliability of internet services
vii. To ensure that an effective disaster recovery system with suitable and external backups is in place
viii. To attend front line network problems (troubleshooting) , carry out diagnosis on the network, hardware and software
ix. To participate in or supervise, implementation of information systems projects as may be delegated
x. To determine computer software or hardware needs, attend all routine repairs and maintenance of the existing information systems and allied accessories and install and/or coordinate installation of LAN and WAN and maintain the same
xi. To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor

Direct Entry Qualifications
Holder of Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science obtained from a recognized higher learning institution and must be proficient in computer applications with at least two years working experience in IT industry in any reputable organization
REMUNERATION FOR THE POST; As per NBAA Salary Scale 10.1
