Technical Director – Dar es salaam – RTI

Provide guidance and leadership for all technical aspects of the project including piloting and scaling-up technical support to private arid public health facilities; conducting technical trainings; and overseeing quality assurance. Qualifications: Clinical background – Medical Doctor with advanced degree or postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Policy, Business Administration or a related field with at least 10 years’ experience managing and leading technical teams for complex integrated health projects.

Qualification and Experience
• Comprehensive expertise in any of the following technical components: malaria; maternal, newborn and child health; family planning and reproductive health; governance; health finance; human resources for health; and/or health management information systems.
• Experience in malaria programming preferred.
• Knowledge of national issues impacting health service delivery and demonstrated success strengthening local strengthening local government institutions.
• Health program management including experience in the following: client relationship management, developing program work plans, developing budgets, managing program implementation, and managing technical assistance teams.
• Capacity to build and maintain productive working relationships with a network of partners and stakeholders, including government ministries.
• Experience working on USG-funded project is highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English (tested FSI R4/S4) and fluency in Kiswahili
