Head Teacher – Village Of Hope Primary

Head Teacher Position:
This is a high profile and very demanding position, the successful applicant will be a key visionary leader in moving the school towards its vision of seeing that all children are loved and cared for. The head teacher would work closely with the leadership team, and would have specific roles in:

1 Liaising between the executive leadership and the school
2 Being a champion of transformative education in the Village of Hope community and in the wider educational community
3 Overseeing the supervision of the school staff and the administration of the school, including admittance enrolment, discipline and discharge procedures of the student body.
4 Fostering a good working relationship with the students, care givers in the children’s homes and from the community.
5 Ensuring the school environment is conducive for creativity and promotes learning and knowledge of environmental conservation and community service alongside all staff, being involved in community outreach and service programs.

The ideal candidate for this important post would have:
1 Previous experience in school or business leadership.
2 A genuine passion for loving and caring for children
3 A strong belief in the power of education in furthering the kingdom of God and the development of ethical, creative leaders.
4 Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work well in a team
5 A degree in an educational field is desirable; a non-educational field would be acceptable if there has already been other involvement in education.
