Chief Surveyor – Tanzanite One Mining

JOB LOCATION: Mererani Manyara
The rule will involve managing and performing a range of surveying duties both on surface and
underground which is physically demanding environment. The role will suit anyone with a dynamic
and enthusiastic attitude who wants to utilize their skills as a surveyor to ensure the success of the
company. It will be important that the candidate can work as an effective member of a multicultural
team. Experienced candidates only need to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• The surveyor is responsible in planning day to day survey activities of the mine including
underground and surface.
• Preparation of monthly and mid-month survey measuring and compilation of results
• Updating of data on Micromine and plotting of data on Micromine
Determining grade and direction for holing’s, shafts and underground workings
Ens1Jring grade and direction is adhered to by the miners
Managing the daily tasks of the surveying staff
Training of surveying staff in calculations, equipment usage etc

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Degree in Surveying from a recognized university
• Fluency in English and Swahili
Ability to use a variety of surveying equipment, particularly a total station
Previous mining experience essential not less than 5 years
Previous working knowledge of mining software such as Micromine (preferred) or surpac
/datamine essential
Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Office essential
A good degree of fitness is required due to the physical natural of the work
