Monitoring and Evaluation Manager – Dar es salaam – Graca Machel Trust

The incumbent is primarily an employee of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Musoma with dual reporting to the Graca Machel Trust in Johannesburg and will be responsible for the management of all Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Reporting activities, including the training and mentorship of all the staff and partners who are part of the Monitoring and Evaluation system. He/she will work closely with contracted technical support partners in ensuring high quality data collection, capture, verification, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas
• Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system to ensure project accountability and indicator tracking on all key project indicators in the results framework
• Manage and keep an up to date confidential project database of individual child beneficiaries in the project
• Manage data collection, capture, analysis and reporting for the project, including the development of data collection tools – validated/data verifications
• Manage the documentation and dissemination of relevant project activities, including case studies and lessons learnt in the project
• Ensure the effective and efficient management of all relevant project stakeholder relationships
• Manage the monitoring and evaluation budget effectively and efficiently
• Manage research projects and research related partnerships
• Train and mentor staff and relevant project stakeholders on monitoring, evaluation and research related activities of the project

Requirements
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation and research related to donor-funded projects
• A relevant degree and qualifications in monitoring, evaluation and research
• A sound Knowledge and understanding of monitoring, evaluation and research in donor funded projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili
• Excellent MS Office skills, including the use of spreadsheets and databases
• A valid driver’s license and experience in the education sector an added advantages
