Qualifications
Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA 6)/Full Technician Certificate Course (FTC) in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering who have successfully completed at least a three (3) years of experience in relevant field.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and conduct of practicals; Carries repairs and maintenance of the Institute’s equipment and facilities, Performs any other duties assigned by the relevant senior staff.

Salary Scale: PGSS 5 4

General Conditions
(i) All applicants must attach an up-to-date CV, certified photocopies of Academic certificates (Form IV and VI National Examination certificates must be attached) and transcripts, one recent passport size picture and birth certificate, plus names and addresses of at least three referees.
(ii) The title of the position applied for should be written in the subject of the application letter and marked on the envelope; short of which will make the application invalid.
(iii) Results slips, Testimonials and Partial transcripts are strictly not accepted.
(iv) Applicants employed in the Public Service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
(v) Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010
(vi) Certificates from foreign universities should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
(vii) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed on a date for interview.

All vacancies carry competitive remunerations in terms of salaries/ Honorarium and other packages in accordance with the NIT Scheme of Service and Staff Regulations.
